inspired by my morning walk in the yard 8/10/07.

I saw all these things this morning.

But I only captured the butterfly today,with cell phone,darn!

Squirrel and lily pad bloom,were taken at other times.

It was to hot and humid to bring out my camera this morning.

My grandson Patrick,with little mama Toni.

Storm,all 4 were taken at night in 20 minutes.un-edited.even the cool blue sky.

Tags: I think she has a pretty good eye for composition, maybe one day we will have a finer camera.

my squirrel friend

I've been talking to him a lot,trying to gain his confidence.I kept seeing footprints and evidence of pilfering in my shed.I was afraid I had a rat!My daughter left some Easter chocolate footballs on the table and the next day I found the wrappers neatly peeled on this can.Oh boy,if I could have caught him unwrapping those, I could have had the ten-thousand dollar video!I leave my door open all day,and I caught him sneaking in!What a treat,glad it wasn't a rat,I started leaving peanuts outside with my birdseed and inside my shed too.I was reading my paper,looked up and there he was,eating.Carefully I set up my toy camera and waited as he came and went.Every time he came in I used continuous shooting mode to catch as much of my little friend as I could.

general preferences. Also,I just like what I caught.

They are just what I got when I shot.

It would be nice to see which you prefer in each color,1,2,3.

Water level is kinda low right now.

My granddaughter will traverse that bridge over and over again.

She loves to feed the fish and throw in rocks.

Unusual perspectives#1

Sorry,but I believe the screen "has" to be an out of focus,

fictional, image that I made by arranging the pixels to my liking.

I am trying to find an unusual perspective.

I have to admit,this is not an unusual perspective for me,but I do hope it qualifies as unusual.

Early one morning,under an eastern facing window,I said grace , before I fed them.

I've been feeding him and his friends for almost two decades now.

My daughter-in-law painted these,after I built them.

The peace sign house had two birds move in and raise a family about ten days after I hung it up.

I've been snooping all around my yard,looking for flowers to shoot.

I've got plenty of flowers but I lack focus.

Hope I can learn to work this electronic camera.

I sure do appreciate these and I am going to try some pictures of other weeds around my yard.

beauty can come in such a small package

If I didn't get close I wouldn't see the detail in these flowers,they are almost too small to be called flowers,

any smaller and I probably would not even see them.

Guess I'll have to get in the water to get the tunnel effect of the overgrowth here.

I am going to keep trying to get the light and focus right,but meanwhile I'm not going to wait for a perfect shot before I post.

Sure do wish I could capture the beauty of my surroundings,but at least it gives a hint of it.

I am so glad I took this shot.

I hope to learn how to use my camera,but for now at least I am posting!I am so tickled.

I have plans for this log ,bird feeder or bird house.haven't decided yet.

I have an appreciation and almost a reverance for most things wood.Up close the wood grain and bug marks are a treat for me.
